“I dedicated two years, and my entire thesis, to excavating the obscured realities of the American West, through the lens of the cowboy icon. Amidst a politically conservative West rife with LGBTQIA2S+ censorship, book bans, and the passing of draconian bills, my mission was clear: to unearth the forgotten narratives of queer historical figures spanning various ethnicities and creeds in the lands west of the Mississippi.”
