Jeb Backe (they/them) creates wistful folk-laden soundscapes as No Lonesome. We've got a first like at their EP Am I What I'm Not, coming out in the fall, with "Falls Apart." The hypnotic, nostalgic tinge carries the listener on a powerful wave of emotion.

“Falls Apart was written during a period when I was writing and recording demos to an old 4-track cassette player to get me through the Chicago Winter," explains Backe. But they don't stay idle long. They playing in (and co-write with) Chicago's laidback indie-rock projects Astrachan and Smushie.

"Among all the demos written and recorded during this period, this song had some serious legs. As Ben Astrachan noted when I first showed him the sparse, acoustic, and drumless arrangement, you could already hear the live band playing it in your head. From there, the fully fleshed arrangement practically wrote itself.”
