  • The Bootstrap Boys bring their outlaw country revivalism to their cover of John Prine's "Angel From Montgomery." There's no need to reinvent the wheel, of course, but the Boys do add some flourishes with their slacker rock solo
  • Melissa Ferrick goes old-school cool with "Black Dress," a fiery number that hits the sweet spot between riot grrl and country music
  • Thanks to Marisa from the Rainbow Rodeo Discord for these next two tracks!Thao's "bad idea, right?" is sleazy and cool. It might not be country but it's fun as fuck – if you like Brittany Howard you'll dig this Olivia Rodrigo cover. Thao Nguyen (of Thao and the Get-Down) has always been a badass, and "bad idea, right?" further cements that.
  • Ditzy Spells nail that sense of motion and regret that comes with all the best country songs on "Foreign Airports." There's a delicious richness that can only come with melodic punk, and "Foreign Airports" will win your heart.
  • "The End" encapsulates Sadie Gustafson-Zook's gift for empathy and warmth in the face of tragedy. It's impossible not to feel a tug at your heartstrings on this beautifully crafted folk song.
