Brian Falduto — “One More”
Brian Falduto returns with his irresistible pop country on “One More.” This is a drinking song, sure, but it’s imbued with the ineffable sweetness and sense of humor that characterize Falduto’s music. As he protests that he simply couldn’t, Falduto’s rich baritone is playful and self-assured, delivering a classic country sound. (PS — Brian will be performing at the first ever Rainbow Rodeo Live! on 3/17 at Penny Jo’s in Washington Heights, NYC. Get there before 7 to ensure you have a seat and check our Instagram for details!)
Sarah King — “Pretty Things”
Sarah King gets in the mood for Valentine’s Day with “Pretty Things.” Her blues growl creates a rugged sensuality that’s the soundtrack for doing things you know you shouldn’t…but they’re also things that you really, really should. King has just successfully completed her Kickstarter campaign and “Pretty Things” hints at a killer album to come.
Maur Byrne — “Until We’re Grey and Old”
Turning to the tender side of love, Maur Byrne’s “Until We’re Grey and Old” is a sweet waltz that doubles as a moving wedding vow. It’s easy to forget that it wasn’t so long ago that we couldn’t express these feelings openly or legally. “Until We’re Grey and Old” might get your heart swelling, but it’s also a radical act in its own way.
Molly O’Leary — “Echo”
With Molly O’Leary prepping to release their debut album on February 23rd, “Echo” is likely the last hint we’ll see before the whole thing comes out. Luckily, it’s a banger: an adventurous love song that calls to mind jangly ’90s rock. While the song expresses their love for their brothers, O’Leary’s performance captures the excitement of love and pulls us along their journey, making “Echo” a universal experience of expressing tenderness to those in our life who deserve it.
Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship — “Truck Nuts”
OK, let’s get silly with it. You can probably guess what Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship’s music sounds like before you hit play. They do not disappoint. This is a frenetic pop country song for the bros who just, like, really really love their trucks.
