  • Andrew Mitch wants to bring you home...to his mom. "back home boy" is a sweet country pop song that strikes the perfect balance between saccharine and seductive – something Music Row would do well to take note of.
  • "Campari" is an ethereal new track from Bandit Heart. The song is a dream fantasia of need.
  • Adam Mac is smart as hell – and "Southern Spectacle" is a shining example of his winning combo of country and disco. Mac turns cliches on their head with this charming and dance-able declaration of pride.
  • "Pure Sexual Heresy" sounds like it would be a hedonistic krautrock orgy, but Abigail Austin doesn't like taking the easy route. The song continues apace in the synth rock kick Austin has been on lately: an urgent and deeply meditative song about the costs of authenticity.
  • We'd love for there to be more famous queer country artists – and Miley Cyrus and Brittany Howard fit the bill occasionally. Honestly, I was intrigued by the pairing and it really pays off – even if pop isn't your thing. The melody goes down easy, but Howard's soaring backup vocals and the song's interest in deconstructing convention make "Walk of Fame" more than a hype song – it's an exploration of self-love.
