  • Aubory Bugg is set to take the Americana world by storm with her album this fall, and you can hear why on "nosedive." Bugg pairs sharp lyrics with powerful hooks and, in this case a catchy beat. Sometimes that person who's really bad for you keeps coming back...and sometimes it's okay if you let them.
  • Madds Buckley gives us the other side of the coin with "Sitting Pretty." What happens when you have to move back in with your parents – and they're not happy with the ways you've changed? If they expect you to go back into the closet? It's not a happy place to be, but Buckley tells thea story with unflinching honestly.
  • Fortunately, Ruthie Foster provides some perspective with "Take Time." The blues legend takes thing slow on this track, persuading us to trust the process even as we're caught up in our everyday worries.
  • Speaking of legends, Tery Lyne Carrington has been releasing banger after banger. "The Autonomy Song" uplifts reproductive rights and models a healthy interplay between gender expressions. Carrington's jazz and R&B bona fide are too long to list here, but this intergenerational ensemble of jazz, hip hop and R&B stars is too good to pass up on this here country website.
  • Damin Tyler explores that further with "Real Man," a celebration of transmasc gender and sexual euphoria. The song's quiet confidence and sense of inevitability makes it all the more sexy.
