  • Angie K makes a convincing case to “Stay” on her searing new single. The song has a sultry undercurrent that explodes when K combines country and Latin elements as K deploys every tool in the box to keep her lover.
  • “Glitter” is the trans anthem for anyone who’s wrestled with God. I wrote about Tunnel Street on our sister site Adobe & Teardrops, but this song of reinvention is apt for Rosh Hoshanah (which starts tomorrow in the US.)
  • Justin Green makes “Front Page News” on his roaring new single. Green describes himself as a “bighearted country boy” and the song amply demonstrates this, with “Front Page News” a bombastic but tried-and-true country pop song that’s sure to lead to some boot-kickin’ dancing.
  • Liv Greene told us about “Flowers” on the most recent episode of our podcast. Deep Feeler is sure to be a breakout album for the Nashville-based artist, who makes a point to wear her queer identity on her sleeve.
  • Breakout folk-emo artist Dirt Buyer shows their full range on “Josephine.” Between hushed imprecations and soaring proclamations, Dirt Buyer is a powerful performer whom we should all be watching.
