- The Kentucky Gentlemen bring their infectious joy to breakup anthem "Whiskey Does." It's your standard invocation of the liquor gods in times of need, but the Gentlemen's harmonies and raucous fun make it hard to stay at rock bottom.
- The Vandoliers' Jenni Rose came out as trans last week and we are happy to formally welcome her to the fold! "Life Behind Bars" examines the phrase from a number of angles – literal imprisonment, working at juke joints, and the self-denial of dysphoria. It has the country-punk band's trademark brashness with a hint of vulnerability that's to come on their upcoming album.
- Sara Trunzo is a staunch ally of queer country artists, and we wanted to highlight her beautify duet with Naomi McMahan (who is one.) "In Your Mercy" tells the story of folks down on their luck with Trunzo's signature compassion and grit.
- Naomi Westwater celebrates polyamory with the shimmering "EAT MY CAKE." In spite of the all-caps title, the song is a gorgeous snapshot of the moment when a relationship grows.
- "Benadryl" brings the good feelings crashing right down. Adult Mom uses an intimate approach to explore the frustrations and cosmic anger bound in the early stages of cancer treatment.
