WATCH: Adam Mac Goes to (Rhinestone) Boot Camp on "Dust Off Your Boots"

If you watch one music video this week, make it “Dust Off Your Boots” by Adam Mac. The song (out everywhere today) is a continuation of Mac’s Disco Cowboy theme. (Mac made headlines when he was kicked off the lineup of a country festival in his hometown.) History aside, “Dust Off Your Boots” is an infectiously good time.

The video portrays Mac absolutely serving as he exhorts his fellow campers to be fully themselves.(Couldn’t help noticing fellow queer country artist Chris Housman on the left-side tug-of-war team.) The song itself is fun, sexy, and empowering — the perfect Pride anthem. Mac performed it at this past week’s CMA Fest and the Concert for Love & Acceptance presented by GLAAD and fellow queer country artist Ty Herndon.

Later this month, Mac will lend his voice to another celebration of love and diversity as he takes the stage at Nashville Pride on June 22 as well as Anzie Blue in Hillsboro Village for the Pride Out Loud concert on June 24. Additional details for the 18 and up free show can be found here.
